CUPCAKES IN A JAR

I participate in CUPCAKE TUESDAY EVERY WEEK HOSTED BY HOOSIER HOMEMADE I had a party over the weekend and wanted to make some really cute, inexpensive take home gifts... I had a box of mason jars and have been looking for a reason to use them...So my cupcakes in a jar appeared, they where really easy and turned out really cute and my guests loved them....

I  made chocolate cupcakes from a box  and made some frosting for them before I assembled them. Here is the frosting recipe I used:

1 box powdered sugar
1 stick salted butter at room temp.
1/4 cup milk
1 tea. vanilla

Combine and beat until creamy.

When the cupcakes have cooled, place one with the bottom side down, into each jar. Add a layer of frosting.

Put another cupcake on top of the first layer of frosting,
add even more frosting,
screw on the lid.

I cut 5 inch squares of cupcake fabric,
then I used my pinking shears to make them cute and all.
I cut notches in the middle of each square and then
wove ribbon through and tied bows. Are these not cute???
They where a big hit...
