We all should have figured out she was sick she was coughing all the time, but you know you always look the other way and figure everything is OK, Well for Evie it wasn't she started feeling worse after the first of the year and went to the doctor they ran tests and found she had lung cancer that had spread..she was also a diabetic, and they are not sure if it was the Chemo or her diabetes (complications from it because of the chemo) that took her life last night in her sleep at home.
(like I said these pictures where taken at my bachlorette party last Nov...) she would love being remembered this way though having fun, and that we did as many other times before, I just wish she would have hung on a little longer Evie and a couple of my other friends where to come visit me at the lake this next weekend, it would have been great to spend some more time with her but God Needed her home and now she is up there looking down on us..I just wish I would have got to say goodbye but goodbyes are so hard, since I have moved I havn't been able to spend time with friends and family like I would this has made me realize if I can't be there I need to pick up the phone more often. WE ALL DO!!! you never know!!!
On another note this has made me do some thinking on other things, I started smoking a few years back after my car accident I was 41 when I took my first puff, I know STUPID!!! I am going to quit I smoke about 1/2 pack a day so I am going to taper off till I am done, wierd how when something horrible happens you take stock in your own life. Here are some more Pictures of Evie at my bachalorette party, I loved that girl...
Evie was beautiful inside and out, she was the type of person that would do anything for anyone, My thoughts and prayers are with her family right now..We will never forget you Evie..Have a safe trip home, love and miss you girl!!!
At last her sweet soul winged its way
To peace and freedom in the sky
Where never again will she suffer or cry. It's all part of God's great plan ...
Which remains a mystery to man.
We cannot understand His ways
Nor can we count our earthly days.

God knoweth well what He's about;
He knew she longed to "go to sleep"
Where only angels, a vigil keep.
The pain of living grew too great
No longer could she stay and wait;
She did not want to leave,
But she had finished her work down here.

These are the words the Master spoke ...
"Welcome, dear child, you are Home at last,
And now the burden of living is past."
"There's work for you in My Kingdom, dear
And you are needed and wanted here."
So weep not, she has just gone on ahead,
Don't think of her as being dead.

And you'll miss her touch and her little smile,
But you know she is safe in the home above
Where there is nothing but Peace and Love.
And, surely, you would not deny her peace ...
And you're glad that she has found release.
Think of her there as a soul that is free,
And Home at last, where she wanted to be.
