DA7 17 ~ LETTER TO SOMEONE FROM MY CHILDHOOD

Dear Karen,
I don't know if you remember me like I do you its been such a long time ago, I hope this finds you well. We where neighbors in that little town called Spring city.. I remember moving there when I was around 8 or 9 and how we became fast friends, its always tough changing schools no matter what your age but you helped me fit in and have fun. I remember riding the bus that first day and how scared I was, there was an open seat by you on the bus and you said sit with me..from that day on we where inseparable. You helped me make friends fast and helped me let my personality shine through which helped me make other friends fast, even though we both got into alot of trouble for talking too much you helped make my grade school years fun. I remember how much I loved your mom and all the sleepovers we had, going to church every Sunday and all the fun things we did there besides just going to church, remember the roller skating parties and all the other parties they had for us kids oh the memories..and vacation bible school how we walked hand in hand there, those where really good days. I remember when we moved up to junior high and how scared we both where but we had fun. That's when we started liking boys!!! Can you believe it we hated them so much up untill then we used to think they where such creeps but turned out they where pretty cool to have around, oh oh remmeber our first dance we went to and your dad drove us with those two boys we laughed all the way there, danced a couple hours flirted with other boys and went home and stayed at your house..I don't recall sleeping that night we had to much to talk about, what who wore and who danced with who and our boyfriends and how we really didn't like them we found out that we both liked someone else..what fun, those where the first of many BOY memories.... I remember the last day in eighth grade when I told you we where moving and how we cryed and said we would be friends forever. We went to Worlds of Fun that weekend where we rode rollar coaster's, flirted with boys and just had some good ole fashion fun. I moved that next weekend and we exchanged addresses and said we would be friends forever. I remember how we use to write to each other alot at first then the letter's got fewer and fewer high school life got in the way and we just drifted apart we lived to far away from each other to go see one another so it happened we just stopped writing..I have thought of you through the years and wondered where you went in life, what you became, are you a mom, are you married, etc, etc...
It was fun while it lasted and you will always hold a special spot in my heart, I hope life has been good to you and who knows maybe someday will run into each other..it could happen stranger things have!! Have a great life, Pamela

  1. That one was bittersweet. Have you thought about looking her up on a site like facebook? You might even try googling her name and seeing what pops. It is amazing what you can find on the internet. Truly. If you do find her, copy this and send it to her. She will get a tear in her eye when she reads it. I am sure that she remembers you and feels the exact same way.
