DAY 21 OF 30 DAY LETTER CHALLENGE ~ LETTER TO SOMEONE I JUGDGED BY MY FIRST IMPRESSION

This is a tough one for me I learned at an early age not to judge anyone by my first impression of them, but if I have ever done this I found these people to be some of my best friends like Melanie..
Dear Mel,
I remember when you moved here from Alaska with a guy named Rodney who I went to school with and grew up in our small town even though I didn't move there either till I was a sophomore in high school I knew how hard it was to fit in which is probably why I accepted you so quickly...., I didn't like you at all when you first came here..coming from a small town outsiders just aren't received well,,my bad. I hated that you came from so far away and took a guy that everyone really liked, a small town guy who everyone loved. He came back different being in Alaska which to me I thought you where such a bad influence for him that I thought it was your fault...but after really getting to know you we became the best of friends, raising our kids together and finding out you where the best thing that ever happened to him...I loved how you taught me to can things out of the garden and just all the fun we used to have while raising the kids, oh and the gingerbread men that was so fun messy but fun......I know we became the best of friends while others in our small town where not so nice to you and I hated that you are one of a kind Mel and I love that about you I know our friendship will do nothing but grow and I hope we live out our dream rocking in those chairs at the old folks home flirting with all the old men there, LOL. Life has been so much better for me since i met you I know I can count on you for anything..I love that you call me the SPARKLE QUEEN...and that we have many more years of fun to come..thanks for being as you called it the oldest bridesmaid in history :-) I love your take charge attitude if it where not for you I am not sure everything would have gotten done..Here is to many more years filled with fun and laughter..I love you Mel more than you will ever know..and thanks for helping me name my blog your great that way...
Here is many more years to come, Pam

  1. Oh... those first impressions. I am glad that you dug a little deeper and found the diamond in your friend. It sounds like she has been with you through the thick and the thin. Not everyone stays around when it gets thin. What an awesome friend she turned out to be!!!!
